Everything you didn't need to know about me but I'm gonna tell you anyway...

Happy Monday, y'all!

I was not feeling so hot this weekend and Jeff and I were hanging out and started talking about our quirks and I thought hmmm...good blog post?! Nothing like telling all of random things about yourself to the world wide web! ; D

Here goes...

I prefer to use men's razors, I have bought the nice fancy schmancy women's razors but I still prefer the men's!

I have recently been diagnosed with some health issues and I have since changed my diet and have been mostly avoiding sugar and holy cow, can I tell a difference in how I feel!

I just started wearing full fledged eye makeup and WOW, makes a big difference and it's been so fun to play around with it!

A few months ago, I started Olay regenerist and I can tell a HUGE difference in my skin. LOVE this stuff and I dont even buy a seperate eye cream anymore, this works as eye cream too . It's awesomesauce y'all!

I have another blog giveaway coming up with a blogger that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE! Super excited about that!

My birthday was last week and I turned  35 !!!!  Really?!?! Surely, I am not 35, that just seems like such an adult age and I feel like I should have all my stuff together by now. But alas, I don't! But really? Who does?!

My mom and I were talking the other day and she said she felt like she was too "old" to wear certain things like long hair, leather cuffs and converse, for example. I told her that if I want to wear those things when I am her age, that I will! Is that bad?! Should I care more about being "age appropriate" and who says those things aren't "age appropriate"? Who decides what is "age appropriate"?

I really LOVE this sweater from old navy.

I'm totally enamored by instagram. I'm smmljs on there, follow me 'kay?!

I just registered Maddie for 7th grade, ummm... really?! Maddie is in 7th grade!  Blows my mind! I can remember 7th grade and I have to say she ROCKS it so much better than I did. I was soooo self conscience of who I was and what I looked like and she is just the opposite and I love that about her. I hope she always feels that way about herself!

I got my hair cut and I bought some of that shampoo that you can only buy in the salon ($$$) and I do love it but I totally use the cheap stuff on the days that I have NO intention on leaving the house. Is that weird or do you do that too?

I watched "fat, sick and nearly dead" and now I want to buy a juicer, or do I wanna do smoothies instead? Juicing vs. Blending is the big debate in my head right now.

We moved into the "country" aka 5 min out of town in December and while I do like"country" living, I am not quite fond of the mice that we've had. So, to rid ourselves of that problem, we decided we needed a kitty cat and now we have two. Charlie and Elsie.  Ok, so I love the cats, but I do NOT love litter boxes. Seriously, they stink and are yucky and I am seriously debating on how hard it is to potty train a cat or cat(s) rather.   I so wish I was kidding but I am not.

Oh! Did you know that if you go to Ulta on your birthday, you can get a free brow wax at the Benefit bar? You're welcome.

I don't even know if anyone even reads my blog anymore but in case you do, "HI!!!" and I hope my random musings didn't scare you away!

Have a good one! : )

If you've never heard of birchbox and LOVE cosmetics, (like me!), then you need to check it out! It's only $10.00 a month and it's so fun because you don't ever know what you're gonna get. I've only been a member for a few months but I love it because it's a chance to try higher end cosmetics for a fraction of their actual cost. It's just a little fun something to get in the mail each month! If you do join, I'd love to hear how you like it!

(fyi-the link above does contain my referral link and I do get added points if you sign up under me)

Summer mantle

OK, so we moved into a new house in December and it's been fun to have a new space to decorate! I was actually able to paint, here! YAY for NO paneling!!! :)

Anyhow, here's my attempt and decorating my new mantle for summer. Who knew, it was so hard to decorate a mantle! But, I think it turned out cute AND summery, regardless. : )

Still have LOTS to do, but we're getting there. : )

A is for adventure...!

I have a new adventure that I am embarking on and it's this...

Isn't it gorgeous?!

Origami Owl's story starts with a teenager and a dream. Our company was founded by 14 year-old Isabella in the fall of 2010. Fueled by a goal to raise enough money to buy a car for her 16th birthday, she started the business with $350 worth of babysitting money and a matched contribution from her parents. She sold her unique line of personalized jewelry at home parties and events and quickly realized that this brand has an energy all its own. People absolutely love creating and wearing personalized jewelry that has meaning and is special to them.

This is such a fun company to be a part of and not to mention that our jewelry is beautiful!

Here's a few more pics for your viewing pleasure! ; )

And of course, if you'd like to find out about ordering some of our jewelry or inquire about selling origami owl, I'd love to help you! : )
