Silly bandz?!?

Have you heard of these?

These are Maddie's new thing and apparently these are a big deal around here.

If you haven't seen them, here's a few pics.

Animals

Misc.

Princess stuff

Rockstar

Spring stuff

These remind me a lot of the jelly bracelets I used to wear, and the kids around here just love them!

They wear them as bracelets and when they take them off, they go back to their original state.

Pretty neat, huh!?

Are they popular where you're at?

I've been in a movie mood, lately

I have recently discovered the wonder that is Redbox.

Oh my, I love it!

I have watched more movies in the past two weeks than I have in the last six months.

These were my favorites.

I completely recommend all of these!

Have you watched any good movies, lately?

Any recommendations,for me?

My (current) favorite beauty products. . .

Beth from The Stories from A to Z is having a get your face on party!

You know how I love cosmetics, so I wanted to play, too. : )

Unfortunately, or maybe it's fortunate for YOU, my camera is out of commission.
Yes, THAT camera!  So, no current pics of me.

We are having some autofocus issues. : (

(Is it weird, that I actually miss it?)

Sooo, I am just gonna show y'all my fave beauty products, instead.

This is what I wash my face with, it's a Clarisonic and seriously, it ROCKS!

It has made the biggest difference in my skin.

It's a little bit spendy but definitely, worth it!

After I wash my face, I use philosophy's Hope in a tube for under my eyes.

I'm starting to get lines under there and this really seems to help.

I'll be the first to admit, that I don't moisturize like I should, but I do have some of this and use it when my skin is really dry.

I am trying to be better about moisturizing every day, though!

As far as makeup goes, I've been a Bare Escentual girl for years.

Love the stuff!

I use a kit similar to this.

I'm really fair, so I have to use the fair foundation.

Then, I take just a bit of warmth and highlight my face with it.

I also use their glee and put a little of it, on the apples on my cheeks.

It gives me just enough color and I think it looks pretty natural. At least I hope so! ; )

Since, I have dark circles under my eyes, I feel like I need a little more coverage under there.  So, I use this.

It seems to do the trick!

Finally, I finish all that off with the Bare Escentuals mineral veil.

Then onto my eyes, I never wear eyeshadow, I love it on other people but not on me.

So, I all I use is mascara and my favorite mascara is Lash Injection by Too Faced.

It doesn't smudge and it's waterproof. Love that!

Plus, it makes my lashes super long and full!

I used to use the BE lip stuff but I was at Ulta one day and tried their lip liner because they had it on sale and I really liked it!
So, I use it now.

I use several of their different colors.

Lastly, I am a gloss girl.

I prefer it to lipstick, anyday.

My current fave is the C. O. Bigelow's Mentha Lip tint at Bath and Body Works.

It has a bit of a tingle to it and it's not sticky at all.

If you haven't tried this, I totally recommend it!

and this is typically, what the final result looks like.

This is an old picture but you get the idea! : )

Ok, now I'm off to see what you use!

Fave song Friday. . .

If you asked me to pick my absolute favorite song, this would probably be it.

I love it and have for years and years!

Happy Friday, y'all! : )

!

Drive thru difference. . .

Our local Christian radio station is promoting something called The Drive-Thru Difference, and I LOVE this idea!

There is even a letter that you can download, from their website to give to your "receipient".

I actually had someone do this for me a few years back, when I went to pay for my order, the person at the window told me that the driver in front of me, had already paid for my order and "that is was a random act of kindness and to pass it on."

The employee told me that this person did this quite often, and have to admit, I was really touched by it.

I do try to do little things when the opportunity arises,  and I know I don't do as much as I should, but what little bit I have done, always does my heart good.

So, tomorrow I plan on doing this and I hope it makes someone smile.

What about you?

What sort of random acts of kindness have you done, lately?

I love a good deal!

Just had to share my excitement with the few of you that read my blog because my husband just doesn't seem to share my enthusiasm! : )

I just found this rug for $50 at a local thrift store!

I, literally was just eyeing this rug, in Target on Monday!

Target is currently selling it for $199.

So, I saved 75% off the retail price and other than a few loose threads, it's in perfect shape!

Oh and I promise, it's MUCH prettier in person!

Dont'cha just love a great deal!?!

Now, to decide where to put it. : )

A little Valentine's recap. . .

Hope you all had a great weekend!

We  managed to have a good one, though our hearts were a little heavy, because our neighbor's daughter passed away at the age of 7 and we attended her funeral on Sunday.

Oh, that was just heartbreaking.

I can't even begin to fathom such a thing. : (

We did decide to go out Saturday night and celebrate Valentine's day a little early.

Jeff and I went to a snazzy little restaurant downtown and had a really good time.

The food was soo yum and the atmosphere was really cool, it was definitely a step up, from our usual dives. : )

Here's a couple pics of the inside, I swiped from their website. ; )

Then, after a short drive through our quaint little town, we headed to the ever, so romantic. . .

Do we know how to celebrate, or what?!?!   ; )

I told Jeff that it's official, we were old!

Anyhow, while I was there, I picked this up. . .

I'm not ashamed, to admit that I'm a little scared. LOL

I had all intentions of starting this today but overslept. (seriously!)

Tomorrow it's on, though.

I promise.

Have you "shredded"?

If so, what did you think?

Fave song Friday. . .

I think this is the cutest song and I love the video!

Happy Friday, y'all!

Lovin' getting the mail lately!

I'm a lucky girl this week!

First, this came.

Happy Valentine's, Mother's Day, Anniversary and Birthday to me! : )

Jeff knew I was really wanting a laptop and our desktop is starting to show it's age, so we splurged with our tax refund and bought me this cute little mini netbook.

I love it so far, and it's so cute!

Plus, as a bonus, it came with Adobe Photoshop Elements 8

So, that was a huge bonus! Can't wait to try that out!

Then, my sweet friend Heather sent me this. . .

How sweet is she?!

I had no idea and it totally surprised me when I opened it up!

I really want to see this movie and the music on the soundtrack is soo awesome!

I loved every song!

She and I share the same birthday and I like to think we are *kindred spirits*.

She is an amazing woman and I feel so blessed to be able call her my friend.

Isn't getting fun stuff in the mail, the best?!  : )

Just a little treat for you, here's one the songs featured on the soundtrack.

Another quick Valentine's project. . .

I was at Target this weekend and everytime I'm there, I have to hit up the $1 spot.

Well,I spotted this cute handmade Valentine card and knew I could do something cute with it, or at the very least, give it to Jeff. : )

So, once I got home, I thought it would be super cute framed!

I already had the white frame on hand, and here's just a quick pic of the card before hand.

036
Here it is framed!
043

I think it's adorable and it only cost me a whole $1! : )

Really pulled out all the stops for this one, didn't I? ; )

See, it doesn't take much to decorate for the holidays around my house!

Make it work. . .

Nope, not talking about Tim Gunn.

Though, I do love him!

Who doesn't?!

I'm talking about my home.

Jeff and I had a heart to heart this weekend, and discussed our current home situation.

If you've read my blog for any length of time, you know that we currently rent, and that it's small and seriously outdated.

We desperatlely want to buy our own home but with the current economy, we've decided it's best to continue to rent our current home.

For the first time in a long time, I'm ok with this.

I've come to realize, that it may not be my dream home, it is my home.

Regardless, of the fact that I am unable to paint, remodel, etc., I am determined to make this a place I am proud to call home.

I'm determined to quit focusing on all the negative things about it and try to emphasize the positive qualities it does have.

Quite frankly, I do think I've come to love it,  not because of the structure itself, but because it houses the things I hold nearest and dearest to me.

My family.

So, wood paneling and all, I am gonna make it work!

Fave Song Friday. . .

Love, love, love this song!

Totally sums up how I feel about my husband.

(Most of the time, anyway. )  ; )

I'm kidding.

I feel this way about him all the time. : )

Happy Friday, peeps!

Ballard Beauties. . .

I couldn't sleep last night, so in order to ease my insomnia, I curled up on the couch with my most recent Ballard Designs catalog and started earmarking pages.

Here's a few things, I just fell in love with. . .

LOVE this table!

Really, really, really want this lamp! I LOVE the shade on it!

pretty poppies.

Jute rug.

Makes me want to paint my table and chairs black.

Love the shape and size of this chair.

Super cute corkboard.

I wish I had a potrack, I just love the way they look in a kitchen.

How gorgeous are these pendant lights?!?!

Oh, to have an unlimited budget to spend on decor!

Maybe, I'll get lucky and find something similar to these items at a fraction of the cost.

My fingers and toes are crossed! :)
