A little disheartened. . .

Why, you ask?

Because someone came into MY yard this weekend and stole my husband's ATV.

His ATV that he wanted so very badly and we bit the bullet and bought.

His ATV that we have had less than 2 years.

His ATV that is not paid for or covered by insurance.

It just stinks. Period.

What stinks even more, is that someone, a complete stranger, was in my yard while I slept.

That scares me. tremendously.

While I am so thankful, that no one got hurt and only a "material" thing is gone.

I am still hurt and angry.

I feel violated.

I plan on getting new locks put on the door this weekend and Jeff will be installing motion sensor lights on each side of our house.

I will admit, I have often left our doors unlocked while I ran a quick errand.

I felt safe, I felt secure.

No more.

That trust is gone and I am not sure it will ever come back and I truly, truly hate that.

Have you ever had this happen to you?

How did you deal and did you ever get over it?

Ugh, so sorry. That truly does stink on so many levels.

I'm so sorry this happened. That really sucks. We did have our van broken into this summer while it sat in our driveway overnight. We don't think they found anything to take because for once (thank goodness) I had taken my valuables out. But they rifled through our glove box and left everything on the seat. I hated that someone was right outside my bedroom window while I slept. (Creepy!) I hope that your ATV is found!
