What a whirlwind life has been lately! In a good way of course. The Holidays are pretty much over and we are all trying to adjust back to life as normal. We spent it at the beach with my family and we had a WONDERFUL time. Lots of good food and good times to be had. Maddie racked up as usual. I hate the thought of having to unpack all of her "goods". Maybe I can get Jeff to do that. Hee hee
Anyhow, amongst the festivities we always do a Chinese gift exchange and it's a BLAST! There are always FAB gifts to choose from. Well, this year the gifts included LOTS of jewelry and some of it was NOT costume, rachet straps (for the boys), a set of solar powered lights for the yard, $30 worth of scratch off lottery tickets, tools, and perfume. Well, Jeff REALLY wanted those rachet straps so being the good wife that I am, traded my DIAMOND circle necklace for those straps. Then it was Jeff's turn to pick and he picked up a box, opened it up and low and behold there is another DIAMOND necklace in that box. Evidently, I had a temporary moment of insanity and told him to trade it for the lottery tickets. I NEVER take chances but this time I was like...what the heck! So I scratched and scratched and scratched....and guess what!!!
I won!!
$7 whole dollars!! WOOHOO! Next time, I will just keep the jewelry. It was fun anyhow.
Hope the rest of you had a WONDERFUL Christmas as well.

Playing Hooky (or however you spell it!)
Uggh! It's wet and rainy here. Now, THESE are the kinda days I wanna be at home. There is nothing better than curling up in my jammies on my couch and watching a good movie. That is pure bliss to me. I could soo play hooky on these kinda days!
Of course, the fact that my husband lay sound asleep in our bed while I am getting Maddie ready and trudging to work didn't help anything either.

BOO!
Halloween is almost here! Almost time for all the witches and goblins to run amuck in their neighborhoods. I love, love, love Halloween! Well, really I just love this time of year....period. It's just cozy. Maddie and I spent last weekend bringing decorations out of the attic. She stated it was like opening presents I guess it's b/c you tend to forget what you have packed away and whatever it was you bought on clearance from the year before.
She and I went to Halloween Express and she *finally* decided on a costume. She was going to be a RoCkStAr but nixed that idea as soon as she saw the Velma costume. I think her new fabulous 'do prompted that change.
The Velma costume is HILARIOUS! It is super cute on her and it totally suits her. When she puts the wig and glasses on I can't help but giggle.
I literally had to walk out of the room the other night b/c I was laughing so hard. She finally put her hands on her hips and very firmly said "STOP LAUGHING MOM!"
That unfortunately made my giggle fit worse. I will definitely post pics. I think this maybe my fave costume for her, thus far.
