Happy Valentine's Day to ME!!

Believe it or not, I had a GREAT Valentine's Day this year!



My husband actually planned something! How crazy is that?!?!?



Better yet, it was a WONDERFUL something!



I am not quite sure how this all came about but about a week before Valentine's, he told me that he and his best friend wanted to plan something special for my friend Ashley and I.



I am sure the look on my face was priceless.



Through the week, Ashley desperately tried to find out what they were scheming but to no avail.



Needless to say, come Saturday night she and I were were more than anxious to see what our fellas had planned.



Well, I am here to tell you that they came through!



First, they had planned a carriage ride through the downtown part of our town and that was soo fun! The lady that did the tour shared all kinds of tidbits of history about our little town and even told us a ghost story or two.

I had been wanting to do this for a long time so I was so tickled to see her when we pulled up to our destination.



Then, we had reservations at our fave little mexican restaurant. I swear I do believe I could eat there EVERY night. The food is delish and the margaritas are pretty good too. ;)

Lastly, they had planned to take us to see "Confessions of a Shopaholic" because Ashley and I had both read and loved the book. But, to be honest we were all a bit worn out and full at that point so we skipped the movie and decided to get a raincheck.

I was just more impressed that my husband actually put some thought into this and was so touched by that alone.

Now, I know not to expect this often but it is nice to know he is capable of such a thing. It's not everyday he does something like this, so I had to brag on him a bit. Just between me and you, I'm hoping it gives him incentive to do this every now and then ;).
