This is my contribution to frugal decorating, as this project has cost me less than $10 and was so fun to do!
Ok, I am not completely done with this yet, but so far I love it, and just had to show y'all!
I found some windows at a local antique store for $5.00 and knew I wanted to use them somehow, in our home.
Well, I came across where Jeanne had turned an old door into an inspiration board.
BTW-How cool is her door?
So, I decided to take that idea and run with it.
I decided I needed an inspiration window!
I still have a bit of work to do to it, and it's far from perfect, but I love it and it will brighten up my room so much!
Here it is in all it's glory.
I just put cork in three of the panes and scrapbook paper in the other three.
A couple of close ups of the paper I used.
I wanted something bright and cheery and this fit the bill perfectly.
Like I said, it's far from perfect but I really do like it!
I almosted painted ita different color but I decided I liked the shabby chic-ness(is that a word?) it currently sports now.
In fact, I am thinking about distressing it a bit more.
Then, I took some scrapbooking brads, that coordinated with this paper and glued thumbtacks to the back to use them as pushpins.
I loved how they turned out!
Here is a shot of the front.
This is how they look from the back.
I had so much fun, doing this!
I think my daughter may just need one for her room, as well!
Now, I am off to see what all y'all have done! :)

How did you affix the corkboard to the glass in the window? I tried this with an old door but the cork is coming off. What's your secret??? (pattiafp@comcast.net)

It turned out too cute! Great use for an old window. I just put a poster of vintage Paris behind my old window. That way I can wake up looking at Paris each morning.

Now I just need to find an old window that nobody wants....
Great project. My dad has the old window frames from his parent's house, and now I have another idea on how to use them!
